Biography
Dr. Nicholas Carson is an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and a Clinical Research Associate at the Health Evaluation Research Lab and the Center for Multicultural Mental Health Research. He is the Division Chief for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Cambridge Health Alliance.
Research
Dr. Carson’s research interests include the application of natural language processing and machine learning approaches to support adolescents at risk for severe psychiatric outcomes, such as suicide and psychosis. He studies the quality of mental health services for multicultural communities, particularly among youth, and pursues co-productive performance improvement strategies to support shared decision-making with families.
