NCHATS Researcher Recognized by American Public Health Association

Dr. Madeline Benz was awarded the American Public Health Association’s 2025 National Violent Death Reporting System New Investigator Research Award for the project, “Alcohol-involved suicide deaths: Characteristics of decedents and disclosures of intent.”

Dr. Benz, an NCHATS member and Co-Investigator on Project 1, will be partnering on this project with other NCHATS investigators, Drs. Ted Miller and Brandon Gaudiano.
